Expression of P-selectin deprivation from the platelets of asthmatic BALB/c mice

Abstract: To explore the expression of P-selectin derived from platelets of asthmatic mice. Methods Female BABL/c mice were randomly divided into two groups: the control group and the asthma group, and the expression of P-selectin was determined by flow cytometer (FCM). ResultsPositive expression of P-selectin rates in the control group and the asthma group were（1．23±1.02）% and （4.52±1.45）%（P<0.01）, but after thrombin activation, they were（45.12±4.03）% and（44.68±5.34）% (P>0.05). The leukocyte counts of bronchial alveo lavage(BAL) in the control group and the asthma group were 6.64±1.86 and 25.60±2.66（P<0.01）. Conclusion Platelet -activation exists in asthmatic mice and may participate in the asthmatic process.
