Expression of chemokine receptor CCR7 in peripheral lymphocytes of gastric carcinoma and its clinical significance

Abstract: To investigate the expression of chemokine receptor CCR7 in peripheral lymphocytes of gastric carcinoma and its relationship with clinicopathological characteristics. MethodsPeripheral blood was collected from 20 healthy persons and 35 patients who underwent curative gastrectomies. The expression of CCR7 in lymphocytes was determined by flow cytometry after red cells were died and labeled with fluorescence mAb. ResultsCompared with the control group, the expression of CCR7 in the gastric carcinoma group was significantly decreased. After curative gastrectomies, the expression level of CCR7 was increased and correlated with the TNM stage (P＜0.05). ConclusionThe expression of CCR7 is downregulated in gastric carcinoma peripheral lymphocytes and relates to clinical TNM stage.
