P
<0.05).the overall effective rate in treatment groups with all types were higher than those in control groups (

<0.05,
P
<0.01).

n
=77) and control group (
n
=75).Initial therapy such as washing in local parts of wisdom tooth was performed, while periocline and iodine glycerin were used on infected areas in treatment and control group, respectively. The primary outcome was response rate 5 days after treatment.
Results
Overall response rate was 94.8%(73/77) in treatment group and 76.0%(57/75) in control group, with a significant difference(
P
<0.01).
Conclusion
Periocline is effective in treatment of acute pericoronitis of wisdom tooth.
