Abstract: Objective To explore the relationship between circulating platelets microparticles(PMP)and endothelial microparticls(EMP)and prognosis in patients with acute ischemic stroke(AIS). Methods Fifty-six patients with AIS(AIS groups)hospitalized from March, 2013 to June, 2015 and 40 people who took health examination in Dezhou Peoples Hospital were selected(Control group), and all subjects were investigated to explore the risk factors of prognosis. Venous blood(5 mL)was extracted from each subject. Flow cytometry was used to detect the levels of PMP and EMP. Patients in AIS group were evaluated by the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)in admission and discharge, and were classified into two types, poor prognosis and favorable prognosis, according to the scores. Risk factors that affected prognosis were investigated by the Logistical regression analysis. Results The levels of PMP and EMP in AIS group were significantly higher than those in Control group(P<0.05). The levels of PMP and EMP in patients with favorable prognosis were significantly higher than those with poor prognosis(P<0.05). According to Logistical regression analysis, hypertension, diabetes and levels of circulating PMP and EMP were independent risk factors for the prognosis of AIS patients. Conclusion Circulating PMP and EMP levels are associated with AIS, which play important roles in the prognosis of AIS patients.
