Expression of Fbw7 in alcoholic fatty liver in rats

Abstract:

Objective〓〖WTBZ〗To evaluate the expressions of Fbw7 mRNA and protein in rat models of alcoholic fatty liver disease and to investigate the effect of Fbw7 in the pathogenesis of alcoholic fatty liver disease. 〖WTHZ〗Methods〓〖WTBZ〗Rat models of alcoholic fatty liver disease were establish by saline i.g. and sacrificed at 12 weeks. Liver histology was determined by HE staining. Expressions of Fbw7 mRNA and protein were determined by Q-PCR and Western blot. 〖WTHZ〗Results〓〖WTBZ〗Liver steatosis was found by light microscopy in the model group. Compared with the control group, contents of TG were increased in the model group (P＜0.01) and expressions of mRNA and protein were decreased in the model group (P＜0.01) which negatively correlated with TG content. 〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〓〖WTBZ〗Alcohol administration results in a decrease of Fbw7 expression, which may play a vital role in the pathogenesis of alcoholic liver disease.
