Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical features and prognostic factors of cutaneous malignant melanoma (CMM) in Shandong Province. Methods Clinical data of 61 CMM cases treated during Jan. 2009 and Dec. 2014 were retrospectively reviewed. The survival rates were calculated with Kaplan-Meier method and compared with log-rank test. The independent prognostic factors were evaluated with Cox regression multivariate analysis. Results The 1-year, 3-year and 5-year survival rates of the 61 patients were 82.0%, 23.0%, and 16.4%, respectively. The 5-year survival rate was significantly associated with clinical staging (P<0.01), ulceration (P<0.01), and operation (P<0.01). Clinical staging was the independent prognostic factor. Conclusion Clinical staging is the independent risk factor for poor survival rate in patients with CMM in Shandong Province.
