Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical manifestation, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of adenomatoid odontogenic tumor(AOT). Methods The clinical data of AOT patients treated during July 2011 and July 2019 were retrospectively analyzed, including clinical manifestation, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. The patients were divided into maxillary group and mandible group based on the site of tumor. The association among tumor size, tumor site, patients gender and age was analyzed with Fishers exact probability test. Results Altogether 15 cases were enrolled, including 7 male and 8 female. There were 9 in the maxillary group and 6 in the mandible group. Statistical analysis revealed thattumor with diameters >3 cm were more likely to occur in the mandible. All cases received curettage and had good treatment effects. During the follow-up of 5 months to 8 years, all patients showed good prognosis, and no serious complications or recurrence were observed. Conclusion Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor is rare and pathological examination is necessary for confirmation. Curettage is an effective treatment which has favorable therapeutic effects.
