Correlation between coronary artery plaque and acutecoronary syndrome by MSCT

Abstract: To evaluate the correlation between coronary artery plaque and acute coronary syndrome (ACS) by multislices spiral computed tomography (MSCT). Methods104 patients suspected of coronary heart disease were subjected to MSCT. The results were compared with the clinical appearance. ResultsFatty plaque had correlations with ACS (P<0.05), but calcified and fibre plaque had no close correlations with ACS (P>0.05). ConclusionMSCT is considered suitable for evaluation of the correlations between coronary artery plaque and ACS.
