Abstract: Bladder storage and voiding function are accomplished by the coordination of the bladder and urethra. This delicate coordination is regulated by complicated neural circuits involving the participation of spinal cord, cerebral cortex and peripheral nerves. This review is going to highlight the neuroanatomy and neurophysiology of lower urinary tract.

Key words: Micturition reflex, Innervation, Bladder, Urethra
