Abstract: The decree of two-child policy has brought more pressure and challenges for obstetrics and gynecology. Considering the declining fertility and health of elderly mothers, clinicians need to communicate sufficiently with them, assess carefully their fertility and physical status, and implement effective assisted reproductive measures. Moreover, it is necessary to establish a standardized pregnancy examination system for women with scarred uterus due to caesarean section. In addition, the newborns’ health condition should not be neglected. In conclusion, clinical management of second delivery will become a new focus, which needs concern and specification.
