Abstract: Infective native aortic aneurysm(INAA)is a rare and highly lethal disease in the field of vascular surgery, caused by degeneration and destruction of the aortic wall with the microorganism(mostly by bacteria). INAA has rapid progress, complicated symptoms, high rupture risk and poor prognosis. The diagnosis and treatment of INAA remain foci and challenges in vascular surgery. This review discussed the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and complications of INAA based on the published papers and our management experiences, in order to provide advice to the future research and managements.
