Plasma protein binding rate of deferiprone in rats

Abstract:

To develop a HPLC method for determination of deferiprone(DFP) concentration in dialysate and to study the plasma protein binding rate of DFP. MethodsWith an external manner, we used an equilibrium dialysis method to imitate the binding process between DFP and plasma protein in vivo and determine the concentration of DFP and the plasma protein binding rate of DFP. ResultsThe plasma protein binding rate of DFP at low, middle and high concentrations was between 4.25% to 5.31%, and it was not significantly different in all groups (P＞0.05). ConcolusionThe plasma protein binding rate of DFP is low. So DFP is a kind of low plasma protein binding rate drug, and most of the drug molecules act on a body with a free type.
