Expressions of α-Tubulin and γ-Tubulin in human Glioma and their relation with Survivin

Abstract:

Objective To evaluate expressions of α-Tubulin and γ-Tubulin in human glioma and to investigate the correlation between Tubulin and Survivin. Methods The immunohistochemical method or immunofluorescence technique was used to determine expressions of α-Tubulin, γ-Tubulin and Survivin in specimens of glioma. The relation of α-Tubulin and γ-Tubulin to Survivin was analyzed using statistic methods. Results  Positive rates of α-Tubulin, γ-Tubulin and Survivin were significantly higher in high grade glioma than in low grade(P＜0.0125). Expressions of α-Tubulin and γ-Tubulin were positively related to expression of Survivin (P＜0.05). Conclusion Malignancy of glioma is related to expressions of α-Tubulin, γ-Tubulin and Survivin. Interactions between Tubulin and Survivin may be important signals of development and prognosis in human glioma.
