Abstract: Along with the overall implementation of “two-child policy” in our country, the proportion of elder infertile couples seeking for assisted reproductive technology(ART)is increasing dramatically. However, ART for couples with advanced age is associated with low pregnancy rate and high complication rate, and the offsprings physical and mental health problems are prominent. Besides, The genetic risk on population quality still needs to be investigated. Therefore, elder infertile couples should make the decision cautiously when they seek for ART treatment.
