Application of strap-uterine suture in caesarean postpartum hemorrhage

Abstract: Objective To investigate the application of strap-uterine suture in preventing caesarean postpartum hemorrhage. Methods Sixty four patients with caesarean postpartum hemorrhage were divided into observation group (n=32, with strap-uterine suture) and control group (n=32, with Intrauterine gauze packing). Operation time, amount of bleeding within 2 h and 24 h after operation were compared between two groups. Results Operation time, amount of bleeding 2 h and 24 h after operation in obsercation group were significantly lower than those in control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Comparied with intrauterine gauze packing, strap-uterine suture is more effective in preventing caesarean postpartum hemorrhage.
