Abstract: To explore the value of fiberoptic ductoscopy in diagnosis of nipple discharge diseases. Methods: The data of 45 cases admitted between 2004 and 2005 in the second hospital of shandong university were analyzed. All the cases were examined by breast fiberoptic ductoscopy, and 30 cases of intraductal space occupying lesions were performed operation. Results: Of the 45 cases, 5 cases were diagnosed as breast cancer, 9 papilloma, 4 papillomatosis, 12 mammary duct ectasia, 10 inflammatory disease of mammary, and 5 normal breast. 97.2% of them acted in accord with the pathological diagnosis. Conclusion: Breast fiberoptic ductoscopy can confirm etiological factors and locate the site of nipple discharge, and is effect in diagnosis of early breast cancer.
