Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of high flow nasal cannulae(HFNC)therapy for patients with cardiogenic pulmonary edema. Methods A total of 14 patients with cardiogenic pulmonary edema treated with HFNC therapy during ist Oct. 2018 and ist Aug. 2019 were selected as the treatment group, and another 12 patients with cardiogenic pulmonary edema who received routine oxygen therapy during the same period served as the control group. The respiratory rate, blood oxygen saturation, comfort and other indicators of the two groups were compared. Results All patients in the treatment group achieved effective clinical control, pulmonary edema was effectively treated, symptoms and signs were improved, and oxygenation indexes were increased (P=0.048). Compared with control group, treatment group had lower 0.5 h, 1 h and 12 h respiratory rate; lower 0.5 h, 1 h, 6 h, 12 h and 24 h heart rate; and lower 1 h mMRC. Conclusion HFNC therapy is effective in the treatment of cardiogenic pulmonary edema.
