Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression of human papil1omavirus (HPV) late capsid protein 1 (L1) in CaSki cells. Methods Using polyvalent HPV L1 mice monoclonal antibody as the probe, the L1 protein expression in CaSki cells was investigated by ELISA, immunohistochemistry and Western blotting. L1 mRNA expression was detected by RT-PCR. Results HPV L1 was strong positive in CaSki cells, indicating that L1 protein was expressed in CaSki cells. L1 mRNA was expressed in CaSki cells. Conclusion CaSki cells integrated HPV 16 DNA genome can express L1 protein.
