Expression and clinical significance of EP2 prostanoid receptor in
colon mucosa of ulcerative colitis

摘要:

目的   通过检测溃疡性结肠炎(UC)结肠黏膜前列腺素EP2受体的表达,探讨EP2受体与UC黏膜炎症的关系。方法   选取27例活动期UC、11例缓解期UC及23例正常对照者为研究对象。首先对UC患者按Southerland疾病活动指数(UCAI)进行疾病分期及病理学分级,再进行免疫组化检测每例结肠上皮EP2的表达。结果   免疫组化表明,活动期UC患者结肠上皮和炎症细胞中EP2的表达均高于UC缓解期及正常结肠黏膜(P<0.01),活动期UC患者EP2的表达与病理分级呈正相关。结论   EP2蛋白在活动期UC患者中的表达显著上调,且与炎症程度相关, EP2有可能作为UC治疗的新靶标。

Abstract:

Objective   To explore the relationship between EP2 and ulcerative colitis (UC) by detecting the expression of EP2 in mucosa of UC. Methods   27 patients with active UC, 11 patients with remissive UC and 23 normal control subjects were recruited into the trial. The ulcerative colitis disease activity index (UCAI) was used to calculate the pathological grade and disease stage. Expressions of EP2 were detected by the immunohistochemistry in colonic tissues of the patients and controls.  Results   The EP2 protein levels in colonic epithelial and inflammatory cells in the patients with active UC were higher compared with the patients with remissive UC and controls (P<0.01). In the patients with active UC, EP2 expressions were positively related to the pathological grade.  Conclusion   Expressions of EP2 were significantly up regulated in the colon  mucosa of active UC patients and positively correlated with the inflammation degree,which indicates EP2 may be a new target for the UC treatment.
