Abstract: As an important risk factor of suicide death and a major public health concern, self-harm is prevalent among adolescents. Identifying risk factors is crucial for developing effective programs to prevent self-harm and suicide in adolescents. Growing evidence demonstrates that sleep problems are potential targets for self-harm with strong operability in screening and intervention. This study reviews the self-harm and sleep problems in adolescents and the correlation between them, aiming to provide a reference for formulating intervention strategies.
