Abstract:

Objective To comprehend the clinical pathological characters of carcinomatous changes in chronic anal fistula. Methods  One typical case of chronic anal fistula with carcinomatous changes treated in our department was analyzed, and the diagnostic and therapeutic experiences from nineteen cases were reviewed. Result  Stimuli by recurrent chronic inflammation were the primary motivation for canceration of anus fistula. Conclusion  Carcinomatous changes in chronic anal fistula grow slowly and can easily be neglected, so they should be timely determined by histopathological examination.
