Analysis of characteristics of allergen skin prick test in children with allergic disease in Shijiazhuang region

Abstract: Objective To understand the characteristics of common allergens in children with allergic diseases in Shijiazhuang region and provide the scientific basis for prevention and treatment of allergic diseases. Methods Skin prick test was used, and 10 allergens were tested, including dermatophagoides farinae, dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, artemisia pollen, humulus pollen, cat hqair, dog hair, cockroaches, yeast, milk and egg white. Normal saline and histamine were set as the negative and positive controls. Responses to the allergens were observed. Results A total of 602 cases (58.17%) showed positive reaction, among which positive rate of dermatophagoides farinae was the highest (28.83%), followed by dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (22.99%) in 1035 cases. Conclusion Respiratory allergic diseases are usually caused by allergens, among which dermatophagoides farina and dermatophagoides pteronyssinus are the most important ones.
