Clinical observation of 39 cases of vocal cord polyp enucleation under the self-retaining laryngoscope

Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical value of vocal cord polyp enucleation under self-retaining laryngoscope. Methods A total of 39 patients with vocal cord polyp were received enucleation under self-retaining laryngoscope. Result There was no hyperemia or polyps in the vocal cords of 37 patients under the fiberoptic laryngoscope after a month. Mild hyperemia was observed in 2 patients. There was no case of recurrence during 6 month follow-up. Conclusion Vocal cord polyp enucleation under self-retaining laryngoscope is an effective and safe way of operation.
