Abstract:

Objective   To investigate the preliminary application of spectral CT imaging on different types of lung cancer. Methods   60 patients who were diagnosed lung cancer at first time were scanned in gemstone spectral imaging(GSI) mode by using dual energy CT. Iodine concentration, water concentration, spectrum energy curve and CT values at 40 keV in the region of interest of the mass were measured with GSI post-processing software to analysis the spectral feature of different types of lung cancer. Results   Significant differences in iodine concentration, spectrum energy curve and CT values at 40keV existed between lung squamous cell carcinoma and lung adenocarcinoma(P＜0.05), while water concentration were found no significant difference between them(P＞0.05). Conclusion   GSI technique may have important value in lung cancer classification by providing qualitative and quantitative informations of tumors.
