Abstract:

Objective    To establish methods to determine polysaccharides, Astragaloside IV, kakkonein, icariin, berberinum and 5-HMF in  the “Naoshenkang”  Capsule. Methods    The content of polysaccharides in  the“Naoshenkang” Capsule was determined by sulfuric acid-phenol method. The content of Astragaloside IV was  determined by HPLCELSD, and other compounds, including kakkonein, icariin, berberinum and 5-HMF, in the capsule were determined by HPLC-UV/Vis. Results     The contents of polysaccharides, Astragaloside IV, kakkonein, icariin, berberinum and 5-HMF in  the “Naoshenkang” Capsule  were 5.01％、 0.00796%、 0.434%、0.0618%、 0.108% and 0.0219％, respectively. Conclusion    The preliminary quality control method is  established  for  the“Naoshenkang” Capsule. The result from the assays provided useful data for the further research of  the“Naoshenkang” Capsule.
