Establishment of liquid chromatography technology platform of  cerebrospinal fluid for patients with multiple sclerosis in pre-and post-medication

Abstract:

Objective  To establish a comparative proteomics technology platform of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) for patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) in pre-and post-medication by 1D and 2D liquid phase separation methods. Methods  Peptides and proteins in CSF proteomics of MS patients in pre- and post-medication were separated by UPLC-Q-TOF MS (ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled to quadrupole, time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometer) and PF-2D (two-dimensional liquid chromatography). Results  Different peptides and proteins of UPLC and PF-2D maps in pre- and post- medication were obtained. The methods showed high reproducibility for differential proteomics display analysis. Conclusion  It would be helpful to find new molecular markers for early diagnosis and treatment of MS disease.
