Abstract:

To establish a spatial canonical trend surface model of human population genetic structure analysis. MethodsUsing canonical correlation analysis in combination with trend surface analysis, and arcGIS 93 and SAS 913, the spatial canonical trend surface analysis models were set up based on the example of mtDNA system spatial genetic structure analysis. ResultsWith the example of the mtDNA system, the spatial canonical trend surface analysis model quantitatively divided the spatial genetic structure of human population into the genetic and the geographical, and also separated the genetic trend surface which had population genetics importance. ConclusionSpatial canonical trend surface analysis models of human population genetic structure can quantitatively reveal and separate the spatial structure and composition of population genetic structure, and provide statistical proofs of population genetics and anthropology.

Key words: Human population spatial genetic structure; Spatial heterogeneity; Canonical trend surface; Trend surface analysis
