The contour area multifractal model on the spatial distribution of disease and its application

Abstract: To explore the application of contour area multifractal model (CAMM) in identifying the interval cutoff vales of mapping interpolated disease. Methods: Combine multifractal with statistics in the framework of AreGIS9.0 to set up the CAMM. Results: The CAMM was set up, and its stepbystep procedure was presented. To validate its applicability in mapping disease, the structures and boundaries of spatial heterogeneity of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) were identified by using CAMM. Conclusion: The structures and boundaries of spatial heterogeneity of disease identified by CAMM can display the spatial characteristics of disease accurately.
