Abstract: Objective To investigate the application of polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder(PGEP)in intestinal preparation before gynecological laparoscopic surgery. Methods A total of 80 patients undergoing laparoscopic gynecological surgery during Feb. 2019 and May 2019 were randomly divided into two groups. The study group used soap water enema combined with oral PGEP solution for intestinal preparation before operation, while the control group used soap water enema for intestinal preparation. The blood indexes and intestinal preparation effects of the two groups were compared. Results There were no significant differences between the two groups in blood potassium, blood sodium, hemoglobin, hematocrit, pH value, incidence of hyponatremia/hypokalemia, exhaust time after operation and satisfaction of surgeons with intestinal preparation(P>0.05). No severe hyponatremia, hypokalemia or serious complications occurred. Blood glucose was 4.90(4.70, 5.28)mmol/L in the study group and 5.25(4.83, 5.70)mmol/L in the con- 山 东 大 学 学 报 (医 学 版)58卷2期 -张召义,等.聚乙二醇电解质散在40例妇科腹腔镜术前肠道准备中的应用 \=-trol group(z=-2.30, P=0.02), and operation time was 35.00(25.00, 50.00)min in the study group and 57.50(41.25, 90.00)min in the control group(z=-4.01, P<0.001). Conclusion PGEP does not affect blood potassium, blood sodium, hemoglobin, hematocrit and blood pH before gynecological laparoscopic operation. It can improve the intestinal preparation results of soapy water without affecting the recovery of intestinal peristalsis.
