Abstract: Objective: To explore the correlation between Caspase3 and HSP70 expressions and biologic behaviors and pathological grades of human glioma. Methods: Expressions of Caspase3 and HSP70 and their correlation in human glioma were determined by immunohistochemistry(SP). Results: With the increase of tumor clinical grades, the positive rate of HSP70 was increased and the negative rate of Caspase3 was decreased. Expression rates of HSP70 were 25%, 69%, 92% and 100% in grades of Ⅰ-Ⅳ and expression rates of Caspase3 were 87.5%, 61.5%, 38.5% and 31% in grades of Ⅰ-Ⅳ. There was a negative correlation between Caspase3 and HSP70 expression. Conclusion: Expressions of Caspase3 and HSP 70 are correlated with biological behavior and cell differentiation degrees of glioma. They are important markers for the evaluation of prognosis in glioma.

Key words: Glioma, HSP70, Caspase3, Immunohistochemistry
