Abstract:

Objective〓〖WTBZ〗To evaluate the value of high-frequency ultra-sonography(US) in the diagnosis of breast diseases with micro-calcification. 〖WTHZ〗Methods〓〖WTBZ〗Sixty-eight patients with breast micro-calcification received mammography and high-frequency US. Based on size, micro-calcifications were divided into two groups: the≥10mm group and the <10mm group, also based on distribution, they were divided into the cluster, linear and scattered distribution groups. Sensitivity and specificity of US in the diagnosis of breast diseases were analyzed. 〖WTHZ〗Results〓〖WTBZ〗Sensitivity and specificity of US in breast malignant diseases with micro-calcification was 92.1% and 76.7%. 61.7% of the breast micro-calcifications were found by US, and 84.2% of them were malignant and 33.3% were benign (P<0.05). The detection rate of a micro-calcification cluster larger than 10mm was 84.8% and of that smaller than 10mm was 40.0%; and the detection rate of the micro-calcification of linear distribution and cluster distribution was 72.5% and of that scattering distribution was 29.4%. 〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〓〖WTBZ〗US can depict breast micro-calcifications, especially malignant lesions, and micro-calcification has a great value for the diagnosis of breast diseases.
