Abstract:

Objective   To detect SLC11A1 and SGPP2 genes single nucleotide polymorphism in Han population, and to analyze its association with increased risk of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in Han people. Methods   The study group was comprised with 134 Han RA patients and the control group consisted of 242 healthy Han subjects. Two SNPs of SCL11A1 and two SNPs of SGPP2 were detected and the results were analyzed by SPSS13.0 software. Fishers exact test and 2 test were used for statistical analysis. Results   There was no significant difference (P>0.05) of rs1059823 and rs2695343 in SCL11A1 between Han RA group and the control group and no significant difference (P>0.05) of rs13382934 and rs2009150 in SGPP2 between Han RA group and the control group. Conclusion   SCL11A1 and SGPP2 may not be the susceptibility genes of RA in Han population of Shandong Province.
