Abstract:
To evaluate the curative effect and security of Clotridium butyrium on diarrhea mice caused by Escherichia coli O157;H7 infection. MethodsDiarrhea BALB/c mice were respectively treated by Clotridium butyrium, streptomycin, and Bacillus licheniformis. The mortality rates and pathological slides of the small intestine and kidney tissues of mice were observed and compared. Results① The mortality rates of the Clotridium butyrium treatment group were much higher than any other groups. ② The intestinal pathological lesions of mice in the Clotridium butyrium group were lighter than those in the other groups. ③ The pathological lesions in the kidney of mice in the Clotridium butyrium group were much more serious than the other groups. ConclusionClotridium butyrium has some curative effect to improve the intestinal pathological lesions, but aggravates pathological lesions in the kidney, so more attention should be paid to its security.
