Abstract: To explore the effects of herbs that reinforce the kidney and activate blood circulation in treating patients with luteinized un-ruptured follicle syndrome(LUFS). Methods60 patients with the polycy polycystic ovarian syndrome after facilitating ovulation appeared LUFS were divided into the treatment group and the control group. When the follicle matured, the treatment group was given Cupailuan decoction while the control group was given human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) for two periods of treatment. The luteinizing hormone(LH)level, the Estradiol(E2) level, ovarian artery blood flow, ovulation percentage and gestation percentage were determined. ResultThe treatment group had a better effect in improving the LH level, the E2 level, the ovulation percentage and the gestation percentage than the control group(P<0.05). The pulsating index and the resistance index of ovarian artery blood flow both decreased in the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusions Herbs that reinforce the kidney and activate blood circulation have better effects in patients with LUFS without the ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome and it is a method worth popularizing.
