Abstract: To explore the hemogram of healthy adults after the semiquantitative exercise test and to explore its potential significance. MethodsVenous blood samples were collected from healthy adults before (0min)and 5,10,15,20,25,60,120 and 180min after the exercise test and before(0min)and 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25?min after the epinephrine test on the second day. Complete blood was counted by an automated blood counter. Differences before and after tests were statistically analyzed. Results Five min after exercises, white blood cells (WBC), neutrophils (NEUT), lymphocytes (LYM) and platelets (PLT) elevated to their peak values in comparison with those before exercises(P<0.0001). Ten min after exercise, red blood cell(RBC), hemoglobin(HGB) and hematocrit (HCT) elevated to their peak values in comparison with those before exercises(P=0.0164, P=0.0078,and P=0.0002). Ten min after the epinephrine test, WBC, NEUT, LYM and PLT were increased to their summit counts compared with the values before epinephrine(P<0.0001, P<0.001, P=0.01,and P=0.002). However, RBC and other parameters had few changes. Conclusion After semiquantitative exercise tests and epinephrine tests, WBC, LYM and NEUT have similar timecount curves, so the semi0quantitative exercise test may replace the epinephrine test.
