Abstract: Objective: To investigate the pharmaco-mechanism of the Yifuqing granula on upper respiratory infection. Methods: The Yifuqing granula was given to rabbit with febrilis caused by the TAB vaccine. The effects of the Yifuqing granula on the ache threshold value of Jimpy mice caused by Hot plate, on auricle inflammatory swelling of Jimpy mice caused by dimethyl benzene, on the bacterium of Jimpy mice in vivo, and on CPE caused by virus were observed. Result: The Yifuqing granula prominently relieved febrilis caused by the TAB vaccine, elevated the pain threshold of Jimpy mice caused by a hot plate, inhibited the swelling of Jimpy mice caused by dimethyl benzene, degraded the fatality of Jimpy mice infected by Staphylococcus aureus and effectively inhibited RSV and Ad3. Conclusion: The Yifuqing granula has an evident effect on relieving fever and pain, dephlogistication, bacteriostasis and antivirus and it is effective in treating upper respiratory infection.
