Abstract:

Objective   To investigate the anti-tumor function and effect on immunity of Xihuangwan dripping pill. Methods   H22-bearing mice were divided into model group, Xihuangwan group and groups with low, medium and high dosages of Xihuangwan dripping pills. After 10 days treatment, the index of spleen and thymus of the mice were measured, and the contents of TNF-α, IL-1, IL-6 and INF-γ of the mice serum were detected by ELISA. Results   The low, medium and high dosages of Xihuangwan dripping pills had significant inhibitory effects on H22-bearing mice, and the inhibitory rates were 62.45%, 70.61% and 76.93% respectively. All Xihuangwan dripping pills of different dosages improved the quality of immune organs and the contents of TNF-α, IL-1, IL-6 and INF-γ in the mice serum. Conclusion   Xihuangwan dripping pill can significantly inhibit tumor growth and improve immune function of organism.
