Abstract:

Objective   To evaluate the “semibionic extraction (SBE)” condition and extracting combinations of Yigan granules by HPLC fingerprint-pattern recognition technology. Methods   Extractions of Yigan granules were prepared with prescription medicines from different sources by changing extraction methods, extracting combinations and medicine contents. HPLC fingerprint of each extraction was measured, followed by a comparative study on different extraction methods through pattern recognition technology. Results   Chemical patterns of the extracts were obviously different according to extraction conditions and extracting combinations, while the optimized “SBE” condition and combination were better than the others. Conclusion   HPLC fingerprint-pattern recognition technology is preferable for evaluating the extraction methods of Yigan granules, which can be used to monitor the quality of extracts.
