Abstract: To investigate the proliferation of endometrial stromal cells in endometriosis by interleukin1beta(IL1β). Methods: The eurotopic endometrial stromal cells of endometriosis cultured within 3～5 passages were treated with IL1β in a dosage of 0 to 10.0?ng/ml, and then the cell proliferation and the cell cycle were measured by MTT and flow cytometry (FCM) respectively. Results: The endometrial stromal cells had been growing luxuriantly, and G0/G1 phase cells were few than G2/M and S phase cells. Moreover, the proliferation was the most prominent when the cells were incubated in the presence of IL1β at 1.0?ng/ml concentration for 12 hours. Conclusions: IL1β induces the proliferation of endometrial stromal cells of endometriosis and promotes the transformation of G0/G1 phase cells into G2/M and S phase.
