Abstract: Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of MRI in the T-staging of cervical cancer. Methods Clinical date of 106 confirmed cervical cancer cases were retrospectively reviewed to evaluate the accuracy rate of staging by MRI, the accuracy rate of vaginal invasion and parametrial infiltration, the sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive value. Results The accuracy rate of MRI staging was 84.0%(89/106). For vaginal invasion, the accuracy rate, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value was 85.8%(91/106), 72.7%(8/11), 87.4%(83/95), 40%(8/20), and 96.5%(83/86). For parametrial infiltration, the accuracy rate, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value was 96.2%(102/106), 75%(3/4), 97.1%(99/102), 50%(3/6), and 99%(99/100)(P<0.05). Conclusion The accuracy rate of MRI staging is high, and MRI can accurately assess vaginal invasion and parametrial infiltration.
