Investigation on quality of life in family members of the schizophreniac

Abstract: Objective To explore the living quality in family members of the schizophreniac and potential influences.Methods Family members of 402 schizophrenia patients were investigated with WHOQOL-BRIEF,SDS and SAS.Results Family members of schizophrenia patients suffered a bad living quality than common people,as well as higher anxiety and depression levels (P<0.05).In addition,female parents and without full time job affected the living quality significantly (P<0.05).Conclusion Members of schizophrenia families had bad living quality and higher anxiety and depression levels,psychological advice is required.
