Abstract:

Objective  To investigate  expressions of serum placental protein 13(PP13) and glycodelin in preeclampsia. Methods  PP13 and glycodelin in peripheral blood were determined by ELISA in patients with preeclampsia（including mild preeclampsia and severe preeclampsia）and healthy controls. Results  ① The level of PP13 in the serum of the preeclampsia group was significantly higher than that of the controls（P＜0.01）, while the level of glycodelin in the serum of the preeclampsia group was significantly lower than that of the controls（P＜0.01）. ②　The level of PP13 in the serum of the mild preeclampsia group was significantly higher than that of the severe group(P＜0.01）, while the level of glycodelin in the serum of the mild preeclampsia group was not related with that of the severe group（P＞0.05）. ③　The level of PP13 was not related with the  level of glycodelin in the serum of patients with preeclampsia. ④　The level of serum PP13 correlated positively with  gestation. Conclusion  A abnormal expressions of PP13 and glycodelin may play a role in the occurrence and development of the disease. The level of serum PP13 is elevated along with the aggravated condition and may be an indicator of disease progression.
