Expression of serum soluble TRAIL in patients with acute cerebral in farction and cerebral hemorrhage

Abstract: To explore the changes of sTRAIL in patients with acute phase of cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage. Methods45 cases of acute cerebral infarction and 20 cases of acute cerebral hemorrhage were enrolled in this study, and 20 healthy people served as the control group. The concentration of serum sTRAIL was determined by enzymelinked immuno sorbent assay. ResultsThe concentrations of sTRAIL were（115.94±35.25）and（101.90±16.14）pg/mL in patients with early and late acute phase of cerebral infarction which were higher than those in the control group. There was no significant difference between cerebral hemorrhage and normal control. The sTRAIL concentration was related to the infarction area. ConclusionApoptosis induced by sTRAIL is one of the factors of neuronal damage after cerebral infarction.
