A Meta-analysis between the helicobacter pylori infection and gastric carcinoma

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection and gastric carcinoma. Methods: According to the consistent of the test results, twenty-three articles of epidemiology referred were analyzed by the D-L method. Results: There was a significant correlation between gastric carcinoma and Helicobacter pylori infection(OR=2.72, 95％CI：1.91～3.87). There was a statistical significance between Helicobacter pylori infection with gland carcinoma and gastric non-cardia carcinoma(OR=2.72,3.94), and not a statistical significance between Helicobacter pylori infection with non-gland carcinoma and gastric cardia carcinoma(OR=1.55). Conclusion: There is significant correlation between gastric carcinoma and Helicobacter pylori infection.
