Significance and expression of Survivin protein in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma

Abstract: Objective: To explore the expression of Survivin in non-Hodgkin′s lymphoma cells with variable aggressiveness and its clinical significance. Methods: The SP immunohistochemistry staining method was used to detect the expression of Survivin. Results: The positive rate of Survivin in the reactive hyperplasia of the lymph node was lower than that in non-Hodgkin′s lymphoma. The positive rate of Survivin was related to the aggressiveness of non-Hodgkin′s lymphoma, but it was not related to the sex, age, clinical stage, body symptoms, immunotype and initial organ. Different Survivin expressions were found between different levels of LDH. High Survivin expression was associated with low survival stage. Conclusion: Survivin may play certain roles in the oncogenesis and the progression of non-Hodgkins lymphoma, and it has positive effects on the prognosis of non-Hodgkins lymphoma.
