Protective effects of the invariable magnetic field on oxidative injured Schwann cells

Abstract: Objective： To investigate the protective effects of the invariable magnetic field on oxidative injured Schwann cells. Methods： Schwann cells were randomly divided into an experimental group and control groups. MTT was used to observe the cell activity of the Schwann cells with hydrogen peroxide. A biologic chemistry method was used to detect the content of intracellular superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde （MDA）. An immunohistochemistry method was used to detect the expression of Caspase-3. Results： The results showed that cell activity decreased in oxidative injured Schwann cells. However, these changes were significantly reversed in the invariable magnetic field preconditioned group. Conclusion： An invariable magnetic field has a good antioxidant effect on Schwann cells.
