Abstract: Objective: To investigate the protective effects of the invariable magnetic field on oxidative injured Schwann cells. Methods: Schwann cells were randomly divided into an experimental group and control groups. MTT was used to observe the cell activity of the Schwann cells with hydrogen peroxide. A biologic chemistry method was used to detect the content of intracellular superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA). An immunohistochemistry method was used to detect the expression of Caspase-3. Results: The results showed that cell activity decreased in oxidative injured Schwann cells. However, these changes were significantly reversed in the invariable magnetic field preconditioned group. Conclusion: An invariable magnetic field has a good antioxidant effect on Schwann cells.
