Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical manifestations, imaging features, pathological features, treatment and prognosis of metanephric adenoma(MA)in order to improve the diagnosis and treatment of MA. Methods The clinical data of 9 MA patients confirmed by pathology in The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from May 2011 to January 2019 were analyzed retrospectively, and their clinical manifestations, imaging characteristics, histological and immunohistochemical characteristics, treatment methods and prognosis were summarized, analyzed and discussed. Results A total of 9 MA patients were enroued in this study, including 1 case of low back pain, 2 cases of low back discomfort, 1 case of low back pain complicated with polycythemia, and the other 5 cases were found by physical examination. The tumors were located on the left side in 5 cases and on the right side in 4 cases. The mean diameter of the tumors was 4.3(1.7-6.7)cm. Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy(LPN)was performed in 7 cases and laparoscopic radical nephrectomy(LRN)in 2 cases. All cases were pathologically diagnosed as MA. The mean follow-up time was 43(5-97)months, and there were no recurrence or metastasis in all cases. Conclusion MA is a rare renal tumor. Its clinical manifestations and imaging features are helpful for diagnosis, but the diagnosis mainly depends on pathology. The prognosis of MA is generally good, but regular follow-up is needed.
