Abstract: To recognize the risk factors of cervical erosion in rural married women at reproductive age. Methods: A questionnaire survey, clinical check and laboratory examination were carried out. In this casecontrol study, Logistic analysis was conducted to analyze the risk factors. Results: Compared with women of illiberality those who accepted education had lower risk of cervical erosion, with ORs of 0.505, 0.397 and 0.404 for primary school, junior middle school and senior middle school respectively. The delivery at home increased the risk (OR=1.65) compared with delivery in hospital. The marriage age was associated with the risk and the ORs were 0.53 and 0.59 for 23~24?years and ≥25 years compared with ≤22 years. Conclusions: Health education, delayed marriage and breeding, family planning, and delivery in hospital are important to prevent cervical erosion in rural areas.
