Abstract: ObjectiveTo construct an expression profiling of human pancreatic juice protein. MethodsPancreatic juice samples from four patients who were not suffering from cancer of the pancreas or ducts were treated by using an acetone precipitation method. Pancreatic juice proteins were separated and identified by using two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) and matrixassisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight tandem mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS/MS). ResultsThe expression profiling with a high resolution of human pancreatic juice proteins was constructed. Ninety-one unique proteins were identified and functional annotation analysis was performed. Conclusions Protein expression profiling can provide a theoretical basis for further understanding the physiological and pathological mechanisms involved in pancreatic diseases, and screening and for finding potential biomarkers for pancreatic cancer.
