Abstract: Cardiovascular disease(CVD)is the leading cause of death and disability worldwide. In addition to traditional risk factors, there is a causal link between PM2.5 exposure and CVD, which is a controllable risk factor for cardiovascular events. Effective measures to control air pollution and reduce PM2.5 concentration can significantly reduce the morbidity and mortality of CVD, and alleviate the burden of CVD. As an important global public health issue, ambient air pollution should call enough attention.

Key words: Fine particulate matter, Cardiovascular disease, Risk, Air pollution
